LIFE RE-WEEE project participated in the 5th workshop of BIOPEN project, with the title: “Societal and Market Challenges for the Sustainable Development of Bio-Based Industries” that was held on 25/10/2019 at the Royal Olympic Hotel, in Athens. The workshop focused on current and anticipated social and environmental needs, the available tools and the way forward for attaining a fine tuning between them from a business perspective. This BIOPEN project has received funding from the Bio Based Industries Joint Undertaking under the European Union’s Horizon 2020 research and innovation programme.
During the workshop, the actions and the objectives of LIFE RE-WEEE project and the analysis of the data collected by the two Sorting Centers (SCs) operation till today as well, were presented. Other projects funded by EC and bodies by the field of waste management attended the workshop. Finally, BBI JU Public Affairs Assistant, Mrs. Sidiropoulou, participated in the workshop by presenting the new calls in BBI JU
